Pyramorphix Solver (2x2)
The online Pyramorphix solver finds the shortest possible solution for your puzzle — never more than 9 twists. Hold your Pyramorphix as shown in the diagram, pick a colour from the palette and paint every sticker of the four faces, then hit Solve!. Your colouring is validated first, so an impossible input is caught before you start twisting.
How to use this solver
- Hold the puzzle to match the Hold it like this diagram: two faces up (Upper Left, Upper Right) meeting at the top edge, the Lower Front face looking down toward you, and the Lower Back face against your palm.
- Pick a colour and click the stickers on the net. Reset fills in a solved puzzle, Clear empties the net.
- Hit Solve! and follow the moves one by one with Back/Next.
Move notation
A letter alone means a clockwise quarter turn, an apostrophe (') means counter-clockwise, and a 2 means a half turn. Clockwise is always judged looking at that edge block from outside the puzzle (from above for U, from the right for R, from the front for F).
About the Pyramorphix
The Pyramorphix looks like a small Pyraminx but is mechanically a 2x2x2 cube: four corner pieces with three stickers and four flat centre pieces with one sticker. Quarter turns morph its shape — hence the name. The puzzle has exactly 136,080 positions and every one of them can be solved in at most 9 twists; this solver always returns such a shortest sequence, computed fresh for your exact colouring.
