Skewb Solver — 3D

Paint the 3D Skewb below to match your real puzzle: drag to rotate the view, pick a colour and click the stickers — corner triangles and centre squares — then hit Solve!. The solver finds a shortest possible solution — never more than 11 twists — and animates every half-puzzle turn.

How to use this solver

  1. Orbit the 3D model and paint every sticker so it matches your puzzle. Reset paints a solved puzzle, Clear empties all stickers, Scramble loads a random position.
  2. Hit Solve!. Your colouring is validated first — impossible arrangements (wrong counts, mirrored or twisted corners) are rejected with the offending stickers highlighted.
  3. Watch the animation with Play, or step through with Back/Next while turning your real puzzle.

Move notation

A letter alone means a clockwise quarter turn, an apostrophe (') means counter-clockwise, and a 2 means a half turn. The animation always shows the exact turn, so you never have to decode notation.

About this puzzle

The corner-turning cube — solved in at most 11 twists. The engine behind this page was verified by exhaustively enumerating the puzzle's entire state space and checking it against independently published mathematics — see the solver hub for the whole collection.
